Located in Jakarta, this two storeys house is a private residence with a courtyard in each floor.
Designed to integrate the indoor and outdoor area, this dwelling has large openings to the courtyard as the breathing area of the house, giving access to visual, auditory and olfactory experience.
Located in the busy area next to busy boulevard, this house is designed inwardly with inner courtyard as the heart of the house, pumping light, air and flow in the house. Active communal areas like dining room and living room are located around the courtyard with minimum physical barrier, letting the boundaries blur. With maximum access to air and light, this house intends to bring tropical bliss and tranquility to the dwellers.
The corridor acted as the main axis in the house and highlighted by slightly lower levelled lumber ceiling.
Creating tropical resort-like experienceDominated with light colours and various shades of wooden texture, the interior of this house is inspired by tropical resort experience to complement the double courtyard design that provides lots of air, light and greenery inside the house.
Traditional Javanese artworks and pattern is the signature in this two storeys house.
Located on the first floor, this lounge area was designed without barrier with the courtyard, blurring the indoor and outdoor definition and expanding the visual experience for the whole room.
Located on the second floor, this dining area was designed with the pantry alongside. Doing minimalistic composition, it contrasted the white and cream base color with darker brown to give it an edge.
The guest bedroom area was designed with separate walk in closet area. Dominated with lighter shade wooden texture on white with gold details on the drawer handles, this bedroom is designed to exude elegance and comfort.
Located on the second floor, this bedroom was designed with see through glass wardrobe alongside the bed for more storage. Highlighted with navy blue and gray shades, this bedroom aims an elegant and cozy look.
